WHAT TO EXPECT
It can be intimidating to come to a church for the first time! Your questions may be: “Will I know anyone? Will they single-out visitors? What do I wear?” Let us help ease your mind… just a bit. First of all, you may see someone you know, but if you don’t… you will be surrounded by a lot of friendly people. We don’t single-out visitors, but we do want you to fill out a guest card before you leave (and make sure you stop in the foyer to pick up a special gift from us). As for what to wear on Sundays; we’re a pretty casual church and you’ll find people dressed in a variety of ways: jeans, slacks, t-shirts, dress shirts, a few ties, and even a few dresses. We hope this makes you feel a little more at ease about visiting.
1) Expect to Hear about Jesus
Our purpose at Parkside is to be intentional about sharing the love of Jesus. Everything we do is designed to help you be transformed in your relationship with Him. We hope you will leave Parkside feeling encouraged and strengthened in your faith and with a better understanding of just how much God loves you!
2) Expect to Feel Welcome
From the moment you drive onto the campus and into our parking lot, we hope you feel welcomed. We have men and women who will help you find your way around and can also direct you to the Children and Student Ministries areas. You’ll hear a hearty “hello” as you enter the Worship Center and one of our ushers can help you find a seat. Between our two morning services, be sure to join us for coffee and goodies in the patio area. Just follow the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the echoes of laughter, and you’ll find the place!
3) Expect for Your Kids to Have a Great Time!
We have a fun-packed and safe environment for kids at Parkside. Every week we care for children from infants through 6th grade. Our kids’ programs are filled with exciting and creative, hands-on activities that both educate and entertain. All of our teaching is geared towards sharing about the redemptive message of Jesus!
